OUR IMPACT
Since our founding, we have made significant strides in creating positive change in Uganda.
BRING CHILDREN FROM STREETS
Bring Children From Streets Norway was started by Richard Kiwanuka at the age of 16.
In 2005, the organization was reorganized into a foundation, located in Bergen.
The foundation was established on the initiative of Richard Kiwanuka.
The foundation's work is primarily carried out by establishing, running and financing various projects/initiatives
in and outside Uganda's capital Kampala. The foundation has local employees in the projects in Uganda.
The foundation's work is mainly financed through a sponsorship scheme, funds collected from schools and kindergartens,
and through contributions from companies and private individuals. Cecilia Brækhus is an ambassador for the organization.
Bring Children From Streets main purpose is to work for the benefit of orphans and disadvantaged children in Uganda. Bring Children From Streets is a non-profit foundation and has, among other things, provided financial support to an orphanage in Nsumba, Schools and Vocational Training Centers both for operation, renovation and maintenance.
To provide shelter, care, education, and practical skills to street children and disadvantaged youth in Uganda, empowering them to build independent, dignified lives.
A future where every child has a safe home, access to education, and the opportunity to become a responsible, productive member of society.
Since our founding, we have made significant strides in creating positive change in Uganda.
